How a farmer-owned cooperative is supporting farmers from field to table
The Challenge
Food is more than nourishment; it shapes communities, cultures, and identities. Yet many remain disconnected from the systems that bring it to the table.
Project Overview
A short documentary produced in collaboration with BBC StoryWorks, exploring how Organic Valley’s cooperative model supports family farms. Set on a fourth-generation dairy farm, this film captures the realities of modern farming: balancing environmental responsibility, financial uncertainty, and the desire to preserve a way of life passed down through generations. This human-centered brand narrative is grounded in real voices. We brought an observational documentary approach, focusing on two farmers to tell a broader story. We leaned heavily into natural light and the textures of the landscape, using wide frames and a film emulation treatment.
